ABOUT US
The Blue & John Crow Mountains
Did you know? The Blue and John Crow Mountains is the first area in Jamaica to be inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage Site List, for the outstanding universal value of its cultural and natural heritage. This year also makes 30 years since its designation as a National Park; the only one in Jamaica.
Nature lovers can explore the lush, pristine terrain that covers 4.4% of Jamaica’s land surface from: Holywell, Portland Gap, The Blue Mountain Peak trail.
MISSION
Our ongoing funding, which started in 2022 with the first declaration of National Park Week in Jamaica, includes free entry to Holywell Park. National Park Week Jamaica aims to increase awareness of and visitation to The Blue & John Crow Mountains National Park, as well as Jamaica’s other parks. Our National Park is a habitat for species that are either endangered or endemic to Jamaica and plays a crucial role in preserving the environment. This initiative aligns with the goals of the Esirom Foundation Limited to promote sustainable tourism and the conservation of the environment.
